I have only seen a few pics of it and info is very hard to come by. I would love to snag one someday as it looks like a killer player. I believe it came with duncans correct? Anything else you remember about the guitar would a be great to hear. Also if you could have a signature model les paul, how would it be set up? Besides your sig humbuckers what other features would you include?? ( I sometimes think of how I would set up my own signature model one day..... when I become famous LOL ) Thanks for your time. - Nick

Must be a cool feeling to have your own signature guitar/amp/stompbox, etc. I know the "Rocket Fuel" may well be the best guitar related musical device ever invented, I'm trying to decide which Vandenberg to put a set of Aldrich pick-ups in now, I have a quilt top that I think would be perfect except I didn't count on the stock bridge pick-up in it sounding so good. I would buy a "Doug Aldrich" signature Marshall sight unseen/sound unheard, if there ever is such a thing. I guess my point to all that is, as a guitar player and consumer, I trust anything with your name on it Doug, I know if it has your seal of approval, that not only will it be good it will probably be the best thing you've ever heard or played.

Jackson has always made great guitars. There new stuff is excellent too. Yes it did come with Duncans. I think it was a Custom Custom in the bridge and a classic single coil in the neck. It had pretty big frets and the last 10 or so frets were scalloped but that was just for looks as those frets you wouldnt feel any wood anyway. It had a kind of push button pick up swtitch that was really cool. and the input jack was so that it wouldnt stick out as much. Oh yea... and ofcourse a Floyd Rose Trem. Really fun guitar. You know what? There is a a Vandenburg guitar up at Davids place and it reminda me of my old Jackson. Its a white one and really cool. Its super fast but Im digging a chunky neck these days. And as much as I like how the Floyd works and stays in tune, I do like a stock trem a lot. OK take it easy guys. All the best Doug

The reason I like Vandy's so much is I have small hands and the neck on that guitar is just perfect for me, plus I like the fact that the Customs have a lot of Les Paul'ish (is that a word,lol) features, of course having said that my 9 year old son wants a black Les Paul Custom for his b-day (gotta love that). By the way, I played my first live gig with the Rocket Fuel 2 weeks ago and it just killed, everybody checked out my pedal board and talked about good my tone was, now if we can just get Marshall to do a JCM DA.......... Posts: 28 (03/18/10 21:38:02) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Thanks for the response Doug. I have have a few Floyd guitars, but I know what you mean about a vintage trem, or stop tail set up. My two les paul Customs are just killer and have a much fuller sound then some of the Floyds. Hope you and David are coming up with some great new stuff to rip up on the road in 2011! Which amps/guitars are you using during the writing sessions ?? Also, looks like we will have a showdown in the NBA finals. Hope your Lakers are ready for my Cavs!
